What is hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating in the axillae (under the arms) or on the hands and feet, is a condition that affects between 1% and 3% of the population. A social embarrassment when intense, it affects both men and women.
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that is not always related to heat or exercise. You may sweat so much that it shows through your clothes or drips from your hands. Profuse sweating can disrupt your day and lead to social anxiety and embarrassment.

The main symptom of hyperhidrosis is profuse sweating. This goes beyond sweating due to heat, exercise, or anxiety and stress. The type of hyperhidrosis that usually affects the hands, feet, armpits or face causes at least one episode a week when you’re awake. What’s more, sweating generally occurs on both sides of the body.
A radical solution: BOTOX

Neuromodulators(BOTOX) have the ability to stop gland secretion, and thus stop sweating when injected directly into the affected areas. Perspiration or hyperhidrosis is blocked for 8 to 12 months.
The number of units required to achieve this result depends on the area treated for perspiration. Hyperhidrosis of the axillary region (under the arms) is the most common, requiring 50 units per side. Hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet can also be treated. The units required vary from 20 to 30 units per side.
Axillary hyperhidrosis injection procedure
The procedure is virtually painless, thanks to the use of an anaesthetic cream. Injections take around 5 minutes per side, and the beneficial effects remain active for around 9 months. Statistics show that the satisfaction rate for this procedure is close to 80%.
